Matrixyl® 3000

Matrixyl® 3000

New proofs of the efficiency of Matrixyl® 3000, the well-known matrikine peptide based anti-ageing ingredient, have been released in 2011 and 2013.

First, mid 2011, Sederma was presenting a new in vivo test demonstrating its protective effect against photo-induced ageing: its ability to help repair the UV damage-prone papillary dermis has been demonstrated. Papillary fibroblasts are fundamental to promote epidermal morphogenesis and wound healing that is why papillary dermis repair delivers visible anti-wrinkle benefits.

Then, in 2013, a complementary approach has confirmed Matrixyl® 3000’s repairing effect of the cutaneous damages of ageing. It is its ability to reverse chronological ageing that has been demonstrated with both in vitro and ex vivo studies. Matrixyl® 3000 has notably been shown to regulate the expression of well-known (SA β-galactosidase) and recently discovered (progerin) markers of senescence.
